The cluster [Pt3(m̈‐CO)3(PCy3)3] can be protonated with HBF4 · OEt2 to form the cluster [Pt3(m̈‐CO)3(PCy3)3](m̈3‐H) +BF 4− (2). This unstable compound was isolated and characterised by NMR and IR spectroscopy.
