Abstract
Phase diagrams of a semi-infinite spin-1/2 Ising ferromagnet with a spin-3/2 overlayer are investigated theoretically. In particular, the effects of surface single-ion anisotropy on the phase diagram and critical value for surface ordering are clarified. Some outstanding features of these quantities are obtained.
