Study on coal gasification in steam fluidized bed

Abstract

In this paper a fluidized bed coal gasification system was set up. Experiments on two Chifeng lignites were conducted to study the effects of bed temperature and fluidizing state on product gas yield and compositions. A comprehensive model based on singleprocess models was developed. It uses a comparative method to determine the model parameters which depend on coal type and experimental conditions, so that the model prediction reflect the experiment accurately. In this paper, a nonlinear programming method was utilized to determine these parameters, which mainly included the parameters of coal pyrolysis and gasification model. The trend of model prediction were in good agreement with the experimental data which shows that this parameter identification method is an effective approach for modeling of complex processes.
