Abstract

We have used a cloned EcoRI 1.5 kb fragment from the human a2(I) collagen gene (COL1A2) as a probe for detecting this gene in human-mouse somatic cell hybrids. Using hybrids containing an X/7 translocation, we have localized this gene to 7pter → 7q22.
