Proposed test of quantum nonlocality for continuous variables

Abstract

A two-mode squeezed state as the source of nonlocal correlations and a measurement scheme based on conditional homodyne detection was used to investigate a test of nonlocality for continuous variables. The proposed scheme is insensitive to the quantum efficiency of the conditioning photodetectors. The experiment shows that even a positive Wigner-function state can be employed as a source of continuous-variable nonlocality. The local nonlinear operations can also be added, if required.
