Performance Analysis of 5G NR Synchronization Procedure with Imperfect Channel State Information

Abstract

The synchronization in time-frequency domain is a crucial step for the fifth generation (5G) new radio (NR) systems. It allows the user equipments (UEs) to properly communicate with the base stations (BSs). The use of wide range of frequency, and the imperfect channel state information (CSI) increase the challenge of the 5G NR synchronization procedure.In this paper, we investigate the performance of 5G NR synchronization procedure with imperfect channel state information. Based on simulation results, we evaluate and investigate the coverage probability and the ergodic capacity of the 5G NR systems in different scenarios.
