Abstract

The implementation of advanced manufacturing technology should be justified on the basis of multiple objectives rather than single objectives such as maximization of return on investment, or minimization of payback period. This paper introduces PROMETHEE II, an outranking method capable of handling multiple criteria in the evaluation of advanced manufacturing technology.
