Abstract
An original three dimensional (3 D) mesh builder that is designed to allow users to construct meshes interactively for fluid flow simulation from a high resolution geological model is described. At present, to build these meshes, most of the available packages use a series of horizontal and vertical 2 D sections. Then 3 D visualizations are sometimes made to check the consistency. Our software incorporates a new approach to this problem by making better use of the geological description, constructing the mesh directly in 3 D, and introducing more flexibility in the geometry of the individual cells.
