Improved direct torque control based wind turbine simulation system

Abstract

There are big torque ripple and serious current distortion in wind turbine simulation by traditional direct torque control at low speed, which seriously affects its application in direct-drive permanent magnet synchronous wind power simulation system. In order to improve the low speed performance of wind turbine simulation system, the discrete space vector modulation technology is used. The structure of the improved direct torque control based wind turbine simulation system is also designed. The modified system forms a wind power grid simulation system with a permanent magnet synchronous generator and realizes the MPPT control. The simulation model is established in the Matlab/Simulink simulation environment. It lays a good foundation of physical system for the laboratory.
