First-principles calculations of second-order optical response functions in chalcopyrite semiconductors

Abstract

The calculation of nonlinear optical response functions is reviewed. Results for II-IV-V2 and I-III-VI2 materials are compared. Some interesting and surprising results are highlighted. A related family of wurtzite based structures is briefly discussed.
