Economic justification of industrial robots using an expert system

Abstract

This paper presents a prototype expert system which can be used by managers and engineers in the selection and justification of industrial robots for automation project. An expert system shell program is used to develop a working mode of the thought process of an engineer who is knowledgeable in the field of robotics and factory automation.
